Grateful For Grateful Body Products (Review)

Have you seen or done a Thankful List?  I've done a Thankful list of 10 and I've seen lists go as high as 100 things that a person is thankful for!  (Try it sometime, it's very therapeutic and cathartic) If I were to do a list of  just 25 things, Grateful Body Products would make that list!  I'm so glad that I found this company! When I use a product from Grateful Body, I feel as if my body is so appreciative of the wonderful ingredients that are soaking into my skin, cleansing, moisturizing and healing.. My nose thanks me for the beautiful smells that surround me as I cleanse my face, my pores drink in the vital and pure botanical ingredients found in the ocean and far reaches of the world, my eyes can see the difference in my skin and my hands can tell how soft and smooth my skin is, thanks to regular use of Grateful Body products.

Grateful Body was founded in 1998 by a family who was and is aware of the fact that the skin extracts nourishment from "food", just as our bodies extract nourishment from the same.  "If you use conventional make-up on a daily basis, you can absorb almost 5 pounds of chemicals into your body each year -- and that's without adding in body lotion, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner and other personal care products!"  I don't think that is the kind of food we are talking about when we want to take care of our skin!

I have been lucky enough to use their cleanser twice and their moisturizer and the sea cell serum for awhile now.  I am absolutely in love with these products.  My philosophy has always been to use naturally based cleansers and skin care products.  But I believe these products go above and beyond because of the specialized formulations, the quality of their ingredients and the absolute integrity of the finished products!  Wow is all I can say!

If I were forced to pick a favorite product, it would have to be the cleanser! I've never had a cleanser that will actually do several things besides clean my face.  The Grateful Body Cleanser first of all is an aromatherapy session all on its own.  When I use the cleanser, I am transported to a garden of exotic plants and flowers and I feel very calm and peaceful when using it.  The ingredients are designed to nourish your face even as you cleanse.  So when I cleanse, I massage the cleanser into my face for a minute or so, letting the beautiful ingredients soak into my skin. The skin seems to just drink it up, yet my face is so clean after I'm through!  There is no tight feeling afterwords, like some cleansers leave with dry skinned women like me.  So now, a routine that I often disliked has now become one of my favorite times!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the  Moisturizer and the restorative Sea Cell Serum! I feel so bad because it's like my skin is literally starving for this stuff as it drinks it up so quickly and leaves no oily residue behind.  I thought I was doing really great things for my skin, but I see now that I could have been doing a lot more!
You want to try these products and so let me give you some great news!  They have their Skin Basic Sets for 25% off for a limited time.  The Basics set includes a Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer in your choice of normal, dry, sensitive or oily! It's a great deal!

If you want even more say in what goes into your products, Grateful Body has a perfect option for you.  You can design your own product!  For instance you can choose the cleanser for dry skin and customize it even more.  You start with the Basic Cleanser and choose up to two Booster's for it! I chose to add Skin Fitness with a great blend of greens, berries, sea veggies and sea salts!  So good!
And one other great deal!  Use the code CUSTOM20 and get 20% off on all custom designer products!  Last, but not least, I am excited to let you know that I will be hosting a very special giveaway from Grateful Body!  Please check back next week for the details!  You won't want to miss this one!  Grateful Body - I think it's a very fitting name for a wonderful line of products!
Hugs,

Helena

OMGosh I didn't know you could absorb that much chemical into your body! It makes sense though. I'm really into organic skin products lately as I have very bad allergic reactions to most over the counter products of the non organic nature!

I love the idea of a grateful list. Quite some time ago, I started a journal of positive thoughts ... it's similar to a grateful list in that I only write about things that are positive ... and it turns out that they are the same things that I'm grateful for ... things like the sound of the breeze through the trees or the birds eating from my feeder. :)

I adore skin products and if they are organic and Eco-friendly ... they are that much better. I gave up "chemicals" in all products some time ago and feel so much better. Thanks for this review!

I really would like to try this product! I also have dry skin & I know what you mean about that 'tight feeling'. Also, I'm really trying to consume organic products. Thanks for the review :)

Wow! I had no idea that a person absorbs that amount of chemicals. How awful!!!
The products sound awesome. I have really sensitive skin and acne rosacea so it breaks out really easily. I think these products would be great for my skin.

Its quite disturbing to think about all the chemicals that skin can absorb, sheesh!
You've written yet another great review of another great company, and I would love to try their products sometime soon!

I love that their products are chemical-free. There are so many chemicals in the products on the market. I am totally for anything natural! Its pretty scary to think about actually, almost like a silent posion.

That is so neat that you can Customize your product at Grateful Body. I have never seen that before with Skin Care products. What a wonderful service! Everyone has different skin, and you can't expect that same product to work for everybody. With Grateful Body's Customizing Service you can have a product the way you want! :)

That's a lot of chemicals! These products sound great. I will have to check them out. I tend to have dry skin except for my face which is oily :(

Reading your review I could smell the lavendar & rosemary as you wrote. Way too many unnecessary ingredients in face/skin care on the market today. Going organic or back to nature sounds great to me!

I am disgusted to hear how much chemicals could be absorbed from other products! This product sounds like a great alternative!

It's bizarre that all the lotion products hype how well they absorb and do good things for us, but yet I'm amazed with the statistic that we absorb 5 lbs of chemicals in a year.
